My family in Sedona, Arizona! Beautiful scenery!
Welcome to French Food & Crafts! I’m Nathalie (pronounced NAT-uh-LEE – silent “h”) Conti and I was born and raised in the beautiful country of France, in a small town called Tours. Wine, baguette and cheese were always served at dinner; a tradition that I have kept throughout my life. I have created this blog to celebrate the small joys of the kitchen and, most importantly, to get you excited about French food and daily cooking!
If you are passionate about cooking but don’t feel like you ever have the time to cook for yourself and your loved ones as much as you would like to, you are not alone! If you feel trapped making the same dishes over and over again, day after day, you are not alone! If you are looking for fresh new ideas to discover your inner chef, you are in the right place!
My main focus is to give you the desire to rush into the kitchen every day and try simple and approachable recipes that your family and friends will enjoy. I don’t want you to spend hours in the kitchen cooking, but quality time at the dinner table with your loved ones!
Among other things, I am a mom-entrepreneur who loves life and healthy living. I was first introduced to essential oils at a young age. Being born and raised in France, my mother used Lavender everywhere in the house and would put a few drops of Lavender under my pillow at night. I always slept quite well. She would also mix it to olive oil when we would burn ourselves or got bitten by bugs. Once I moved to the states I somehow used oils less frequently. My parents would send me packets full of oils about once a year. That was when it was super cheap to ship overseas! After a while, they stopped sending them to me and I bought my own oils sporadically. About 2 years ago, my son Chris developed Asthma. That was a wake-up-call for me so I started doing my own research on ways to rid my house of the chemicals that were part of my child’s sickness. I bought a few different brands of essential oils and decided that either they were too “diluted” or full of pesticides and chemicals. Young Living was different. Since I was already moving towards a cleaner, less toxic, more natural lifestyle, Young Living Essential Oils were a perfect fit. My family began incorporating them in our daily lives and noticed huge benefits to my family. We begin replacing everything under our sink with one bottle of Thieves Cleaner. I use essential oils in place of supplements because oil-infused vitamins have more benefits than a supplement without oils in it. I use oils in the diffusers around the house to help with our emotions and stress, to calm my family down. I also use them to get rid of smells, I make my own toothpaste with oils and even facial toner.
Since being introduced to Young Living Essential Oils, my life has changed for the better and was able to move towards a cleaner, less toxic, more natural lifestyle.
This blog is my happy place where motherhood, fun, food, design and elegance collide.
Welcome to my blog, my home away from home!
